Hongkong Disneyland with A Baby (Part 2/3) - Breakfast at Disney's Enchanted Garden Restaurant

To be honest, going for breakfast at Enchanted Garden is more Mummy's dream than Daddy's dream. But yay...!

*love*

After a good night sleep, the next most important is breakfast. And we are so excited about breakfast because we are meeting all our Disney characters during breakfast time!

We took the shuttle bus from Disneyland Hollywood Hotel and headed to Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel. Once we reached, we are welcomed by a huge castle-looking hotel which is facing the beautiful South China Sea. We are impressed by all the little details within the hotels. Every detail shouts GRAND! No wonder this is also the flagship hotel for Hongkong Disneyland.

The sea view from the hotel lobby. There is also a garden maze which is in the shape of Mickey Mouse if you can spare some time getting lost inside. Great for young kids.

We headed down to the basement for our breakfast venue - the Enchanted Garden!

Food : To be honest, the food is nowhere near great. I don't remember anything exceptionally delicious. In fact, this breakfast would have been a total waste of money if not for the Disney characters. #truestory

This Mickey shaped waffles is for sale inside Disneyland for HKD$50 each (about SGD$9). It is available free flow during breakfast at Enchanted Garden.

That's all for the food. Because, there's really nothing spectacular about it.

The Disney Experience:

We were excited to see the many characters roaming around table to table, taking turns to have their pictures taken. In our visit, we spotted Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Pluto! Thankfully we went on a Monday morning so the restaurant is clearly not full house.

Mickey is still one of the very most popular and sought after character for photo taking. In fact, Mickey literally just stopped by for a photo before scurrying off quickly to attend to the other tables.

The little one was initially so scared about this huge looking dog appraoching him and trying to poke him. But after a while, he start to get curious instead of scared.

It helps when he started playing peek a boo with him.

Just like most of the little kids, babyoops was so freaked out when we left him alone to have his photo taken with Pluto.

Pluto also did a good job by playing with babyoops and mimicking his actions. He spent an ultra long time just sitting down with babyoops and letting him play with his nose. The fun time with Pluto ended with a Hi-5.

Minnie came for a stopover when we were almost done with breakfast. She was really gentle and bubbly! We spotted this cheeky Minnie disturbing a hotel guestswho was taking food from the buffet table.

Mr OOPS loved this photo and caption it as such "Minnie is kissing Babyoops behind Mickey's back" (literally and figuratively). Check out Mickey.

More information before you make any booking:
  • Price per pax for adult is about SGD$60 and it is free for children below the age of 3 years old.
  • You can opt for either the 7.30am-9am or 9.30am-11am dining time.
  • Do book your seats in advance as the restaurant could be full.
  • We opted to have our breakfast on a Monday morning so the crowd was so much lesser. That leaves us with a lot more opportunities to interact with the Disney characters.
  • When the characters are roaming around, they do not accept impromptu photo requests if you were to approach them. So wait patiently for them to come to your table instead.
  • There is no Donald Duck during breakfast time. SAD... because that is babyoops favourite animal. But you can opt to go for the higher pricing lunch buffet if you want to see Donald instead.

Lucky Bryan had some interaction time with Snow White at the hotel lobby. She was commenting that Bryan is so tiny weeny, just like her 7 cute little friends. LOL...

At the end of the day, the only statement I have to sum up Disneyland Enchanted Breakfast experience is....
It's not about what you eat but who you eat with.
