Our Stay In Grande Centre Point Ploen Chit in Bangkok, Thailand (Deluxe Room)

We are back from our holiday and we are thrilled to share more with you all!

In our previous post, we shared about our experience with Jetstar's #FridayFreeFlights. In this post, we will share our stay experience during the 2 nights at Grande Centre Point Ploen Chit, the accomodation which we got from Jetstar's travel contest.

This is definitely not our first time to Bangkok but it is our virgin experience staying with this hotel!

The Hotel:

Let's start with the location! The hotel is 5 minutes walk away from Ploen Chit BTS station. With such a superb location, we could reach our hotel easily via the railway. We took the Airport Rail Link from Suvarnnabhumi Airport to Phaya Thai before transiting to Ploen Chit BTS station. Sometimes, travelling by rail is a better option in Bangkok city due to their notorious traffic jams!

The hotel lobby had an impressive high ceiling lobby. There are free flow hot and cold drinks available for guests who wants to quench their thirst. The staff whom we encountered are all good with English, which makes communication so much easier!

Our Hotel Room:

With zero expectations in mind, you can imagine the exploding joy when we stepped into our hotel room. For a deluxe room, it is considerably big. The room was welcoming and most importantly, CLEAN!

We missed out on the photo of the toilets but it was big too. There was a bathtub, electronic toilet seat and the usual shower amenities.

Deluxe room

This was the view from our hotel room. We could see Okura Prestige Hotel just across us. While we were staying there, there were heavy construction going on at the other side of the hotel. I specifically asked for a room facing the main road, thanks to fellow travellers at tripadvisor. If not, we would have missed out on this beautiful view.

Afterthoughts:

This hotel turned out to be a place we will love to come back to after this stay. During our previous stays, we chose to stay near Platinum mall (aka Berkeley Hotel) and always faced the same issue of a bad traffic jam when returning back to the hotel. However, this is hardly an issue when we stay at this hotel. Hopefully the ongoing construction work is finishing. That will help in reducing the amount of dust and noise pollution (during day time) around the hotel surroundings.

Bangkok anyone?,
